Cleveland Browns Training Camp Internship
“Promote the highest standard of quality for football equipment and the continued improvement of football equipment, to ensure athlete safety and maximize performance.” (PFEMS) Educate players when dealing with all football equipment in order to best assist players’ health and safety throughout the season. Contribute to the logistics of equipment day-to-day activities, apparel, maintenance, and facilities for the Cleveland Browns organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- “Continue standards set for fitting, maintaining, and managing professional football equipment at the highest level of sport.” (PFEMS)
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining the facility’s clothing and gear, and redistributing daily.
- Maintain practice equipment and keep outside sheds organized and functional.
- Assist in packing player bags, making sure each player has two molded, one detach, thigh and knee pads, helmet, shoulder pads and shower sandals.
- Maintain inventory records of both serialized and expendable items.
- Work week structured around a 40-hour schedule.
Specifics
- All duties are carried out under the direction of the Assistant Equipment Manager/Full Season Equipment Interns.
- Help organize the set up and breakdown of equipment for practice.
- Help prepare and pack players’ game day clothing.
- Help organize, update, and prepare the game day gloves and socks in a timely manner.
- Help Prepare and pack the equipment travel bags weekly.
- Help oversee the day-to-day laundry duties.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Start date: Week of July 15th – End Date: August 25th. We are willing to be flexible with students’ return to school date by case basis. PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR RETURN TO SCHOOL DATE IN YOUR APPLICATION
- Knowledge of AEMA best practices and methodologies. –Athletic Equipment Manager’s Association.
- Sports Management degree or equivalent training in Equipment field at current or previous school.
- Problem-solving skills; multi-task, ability to work with frequent interruptions, and effective listener.
- Proficient in the use of basic computer applications. (i.e. Microsoft word, excel, outlook)
- Ability to use web based inventory system. (Sport Soft Inventory system preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid changing events and multiple priorities while being organized.
- Organizing and coordinating skills.
- Ability to lead, train, and functionally work with staff and football personnel.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of weighted objects up to 50 pound or standing and/or walking for more than (4) hours per day.
- Work environment could involve some exposure to physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Equipment Intern (summer)
General Description: The Baltimore Ravens Equipment staff is seeking self-motivated, hardworking, trustworthy, reliable and dedicated individuals. The internship program offers the opportunity to gain knowledge through hands-on experience working in professional sports. There are two types of internship opportunities available, season-long and summer-long.
Duration: SEASON – full-time from April through 2-4 weeks after the end of the Baltimore Ravens 2025 football season.
Duration: SUMMER - full-time from July through the end of the Baltimore Ravens 2025 Summer Training Camp
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the inventory for player uniforms and equipment needs.
- Organize all aspects of the equipment/locker rooms.
- Prepare footballs.
- Assist with laundry services.
- Set up and clean home and away locker room.
- Assist coaches during drill work.
- Set up and break down practice fields.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Recent College Graduate or currently enrolled in a 4-year degree seeking institution.
- Experience in sports as a player or a manager is highly recommended.
Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
The Interns will be expected to work full-time 65+ hours/week, including evenings/weekends/holidays.
- The ideal candidates must be self-motivated and eager to assist with all duties.
- Ability to interact with players and personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Impeccable organizational skills with keen attention to details and nuances.
- Must have a customer service focus and be a team player with a passion for sports.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and knowledge of SportsSoft Inventory Management System.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
Pay Rate:
- Summer: 15.00 / hour (overtime eligible)
- Season: 15.25 / hour (overtime eligible)

Responsibilities would include:
• Laundry
• Locker room maintenance and cleanliness
• Assist in upkeep of protective equipment
• Work with position coaches during practice
• Assist in game day locker room and sideline set-up
• Assist in issuing apparel to Players, Coaches and Staff
• Assist with the inventory of all apparel to ensure records are accurate
