The Professional Football Equipment Manager Society (PFEMS) is thrilled to announce the winners of its inaugural scholarship program aimed at supporting aspiring student equipment managers. This scholarship initiative, designed to provide financial assistance and recognition to deserving undergraduate students, received an overwhelming response from across the nation. After careful consideration, five exceptional individuals have been selected as the recipients of the PFEMS Scholarship Fund for the year 2024.
The principal aim of the PFEMS scholarship program is to offer financial support to rising sophomore and above undergraduate student managers while encouraging their passion for equipment management. It aims to recognize hardworking and deserving students who exhibit a strong interest in pursuing a career as equipment managers in the professional football realm.
Students eligible for scholarship funding must be currently enrolled and attending a four-year college or university, with experience as a student manager and active membership in the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA). To apply, students were required to submit a scholarship video application in addition to the necessary paperwork.

Jack Ramsey from the University of Georgia expressed his gratitude, stating, "I greatly appreciate this opportunity provided by PFEMS that allows me to help fund my academic pursuits as well as focus on serving as an equipment manager for the University of Georgia."
Aaron Monroe from Kent State University shared his excitement, saying, "It felt amazing to win a scholarship from the Professional Football Equipment Manager Society. My dream job is to be an equipment manager for a professional football team, so I feel like this scholarship is a huge step to put my career in the right direction."
Matthew Carney from the University of Northern Iowa reflected on the honor, remarking, "Winning the award was a great honor. It is a great scholarship to support young equipment managers in college. This scholarship will impact me in a couple ways; first financially it will help me finish my schooling and also give me some confidence and motivation to keep pursuing this career path."
Kiersty Burdge from Montana State University expressed her excitement, sharing, "I was super excited to win the Inaugural PFEMS Scholarship. It’s nice to win this scholarship because it will help me to support myself through college. Winning this scholarship will allow me to have less of a burden when it comes to school."
